Shilpa Shetty once revealed Akshay Kumar ‘used her’
Akshay Kumar and Shilpa Shetty were said to be in a serious relationship and have shared screen in many movies. The two’s chemistry soon became the talk of the town not just in the industry but outside the industry too. However, their romance ended up on a bitter note, and later became one of Bollywood’s most widely discussed breakups.
Years after her split, Shilpa once talked about the relationship in media interview and made statements about Akshay. She accused the actor of ‘two-timing’ and said the betrayal had hurt her deeply.
“I never imagined that he could two-time me, and that too all along our relationship,” Shilpa had said.
She also clarified that she did not hold the other woman responsible for what had happened between her and Akshay. Shilpa said, “No, I’m not at all upset with her. What’s her fault if my man was cheating on me? There is no point blaming any other woman; it was entirely his fault.”
The remark that went on to become the most talked-about part of her interview with India.com was when Shilpa said, “Akshay Kumar used me and conveniently dropped me after he found someone else. The only person I was upset with was him. But I’m sure he’ll get it all back. It’s not easy to forget the past so soon, but I’m glad I’ve had the strength to move on. Today, he’s a forgotten chapter as far as I’m concerned. I will never work with him again.”
The breakup turned out to be highly publicised and talked about in the industry.
