From Madhuri Dixit’s iconic saree looks as Rekha to viral dialogues like “Mujhe Garmi Lagti Hai” and “Humko Ek Idea Aaya Hai”, the film has firmly cemented its place in pop culture conversations.

Triptii Dimri hailed for her performance

Triptii, who portrays the role of Jaya, has also received massive appreciation among fans. The scene, where Triptii comes with a hard hitting monologue where her character finally lets go of her husband is being widely hailed by audience. Dharna Durga’s Sushma, with the now-popular #JijuMeinJauu moment, created another level of fan base for her.

The crew was ecstatic to see Maa Behen rank #2 on the Global Top 10 Non-English Films list, according to Ruchikaa Kapoor Sheikh, Director, Original Films, Netflix India. The movie’s popularity, she continued, supports Netflix’s conviction that engaging, character-driven narratives based on emotional authenticity can appeal to people of all backgrounds.

Meanwhile, apart from Madhuri Dixit, Dharna Durga, and Triptii Dimri, the movie also stars Ravi Kishan, Geetanjali Kulkarni, Arunoday Singh, and Shardul Bhardwaj.
