What is Brown about?
Brown follows a police detective named Rita Brown, who is investigating the murder of a well-connected young woman. She is also a recovering alcoholic, and the series is set in Kolkata. The show is based on the 2016 novel City of Death.
Who is the star cast of Brown?
Apart from Karisma Kapoor, Brown also stars Surya Sharma, Jisshu Sengupta, Soni Razdan, and Helen.
Helen, who will make her return to acting after 14 years, talked about her role. She told Filmfare, “It’s been such a long time since I faced the camera. Returning to acting, even for a small role in Brown, has been delightful. Sometimes, it’s not about the length of the role, but the joy of being part of something special.”
“My character brings in moments of lightness and comic relief. I’m so glad I was considered for this part – it gave me the chance to reconnect with my craft and relive the magic of being on set,” she added.
Meanwhile, Karisma Kapoor expressed her expressed her excitement about her character while talking to PTI. She said, “We are always constantly evolving. Now, with OTT there is a scope to portray different facets of a character. I was out of my comfort zone with this show, there are certain things that I am doing in the show, which I don’t do in real life, so I had to stretch myself. It was interesting for me to do that.”
Singer Shaan will reportedly make a cameo as well in this series.
