The box office witnessed a mega clash on August 14, 2026, when two much-awaited movies, Awarapan 2 and Batwara 1947, were released. It seems that Shivam Pandit, played by Emraan Hashmi, has won over the audience far more than Sunny Deol. Awarapan 2 had a bumper opening, whereas Batwara 1947 witnessed a slow start. How much did Awarapan 2 earn at the box office on Day 6?
Awarapan 2, helmed by Nitin Kakkar and headlined by Emraan Hashmi, minted Rs 22 crore on Day 1. The film witnessed a significant jump in collections on Day 2, earning Rs 33.75 crore. However, from Day 3, which also happened to be the film’s first Sunday, Awarapan 2 started to see a decline in its earnings and collected Rs 26 crore.
On its fourth day, Awarapan 2 collected Rs 9.25 crore at the box office, followed by Rs 9.75 crore on Day 5. On its sixth day, the Emraan Hashmi-starrer earned Rs 6.75 crore, taking its total box office collection to Rs 107.50 crore.

Sunny Deol’s Batwara 1947 was one of the most highly awaited films, as it not only had a moving storyline but also marked Preity Zinta’s return to the big screen after decades.
Compared to Awarapan 2, Batwara 1947 has earned significantly less. The Day 1 box office collection of Batwara 1947 was Rs 5.75 crore. The film witnessed a rise in numbers on Day 2 and minted Rs 13.50 crore. Following the numbers from its first Saturday, fans hoped that Batwara 1947 would continue to perform well at the box office.
On its third day, i.e. Sunday, Batwara 1947 earned Rs 7.25 crore at the box office. The film collected Rs 2 crore on Day 4, followed by Rs 2.25 crore on Day 5. On its sixth day, the Sunny Deol-starrer did a business of Rs 1.40 crore.
With this, the total collection of Batwara 1947 has reached Rs 32.15 crore. It is evident to say that the film is struggling to reach Rs 50 croren mark.
