What did the alleged leaked footage of Avengers Doomsday show?
As per reports, the leaked footage is over a minute long and will likely offer the first glimpse of new Marvel Cinematic Universe crossover. It will also hint at the upcoming clash between the Avengers, Fantastic Four, X-Men and the Sentinels.
The video reportedly opens with Doctor Doom taking control of an army of Sentinels. Thor is shown summoning Stormbreaker while Steve Rogers calls for Mjölnir Thor, Steve Rogers, Cyclops, Mystique, Nightcrawler, Gambit, Shang-Chi, Reed Richards, Yelena Belova and Sam Wilson’s Captain America gather together to fight against the new threats.
At SXSW London, director Jeo Rusoo said that MCU is “back to phase zero” with Avengers Doomsday. He said, “That serial shifting and changing and surprising you and then reinventing itself and then shifting and changing and then surprising you — that’s exciting and I think you’re going to see some shifting and changing. So, get ready for it. Look, we were with Rob [Robert Downey Jr.] earlier today. We were both talking about this concept that we are back to phase zero. This is starting over from scratch. We want to make sure everybody feels like this isn’t leaning on anything from the past.”
