Ranveer Singh’s exit from Don 3 has turned into one of Bollywood’s biggest industry controversies of 2026, and now leaked financial details have shown just how much money was already sunk into the film before cameras could even roll.
Did Don 3’s financial details get leaked?
According to viral images of Excel Entertainment’s financial filings and cost sheets doing the rounds on social media, the film’s pre‑production spend has crossed Rs 16.35 crore as per the 26th Annual Report for the 2024-2025 financial year.
The documents, claimed to be part of the company’s latest submissions to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, show a cumulative figure of Rs 16.34 crore (Rs 16,34.75 lakh) built up over multiple years. The breakup shared online mentions an opening balance of around Rs 1.41 crore, with about Rs 7.13 crore added in the previous fiscal and another Rs 7.79 crore during 2024–25.

The viral sheet further claims that miscellaneous production operations form the single largest chunk at around Rs 8.07 crore, while payments to artists and technicians, that is, talent and crew hiring, add up to roughly Rs 4.12 crore. Early spending on travel and accommodation is pegged at about Rs 2.30 crore, and initial promotions and advertising at around Rs 1.66 crore.
How much did Farhan Akhtar’s production house lose money?
These leaked numbers tie into a larger dispute. Excel Entertainment has told FWICE and industry bodies that their total pre‑production loss on Don 3 is about Rs 40-45 crore, and they have reportedly sought that amount as damages from Ranveer Singh after he walked out of the film in late 2025.
FWICE, backing the producers’ complaint, has issued a non‑cooperation directive instructing its members not to work with the actor until the matter is resolved, saying sudden star exits at an advanced stage jeopardise the livelihoods of hundreds of crew members and cause heavy financial damage.
What is Ranveer Singh’s next step?
Reports say Ranveer has contested the claim, maintaining that he is not liable to pay and that script changes and scheduling issues led to his decision to leave. Meanwhile, Don 3 was announced with huge hype as the next chapter in Farhan Akhtar’s franchise is going nowhere for the time being. With no officially confirmed new lead or fresh timeline, Don 3 seems to be heading nowhere.
